BonesPro uses a mobile license system. Activate your license on one computer, deactivate it when you move, and continue working on another machine.
Mobile License
One license. Flexible workstation use.
A mobile license allows you to move your BonesPro license between computers. This is useful if you work between a studio machine, a home workstation, a laptop, or different production locations.
Activation and deactivation are handled directly inside the plugin. In most cases, all you need is an internet connection and one click.
Online Activation
Activate in a few steps.
After purchase, download and install the software, then activate it directly inside your 3D application.
Check your email
After purchase, you receive an email with your login information and download access.
Download the installer
Log in to the download area and save the purchased software to your local drive.
Install the software
Run the installer. In most cases, the default installation settings are recommended.
Activate inside the plugin
Start 3ds Max, open the installed plugin, and press Activate.
Move Your License
Switch computers with activate and deactivate.
On the current computer, open the plugin and press Deactivate.
Go to the other computer where you want to use BonesPro.
Open the plugin on the new computer and press Activate.
Important: deactivate the license before leaving a machine. If all seats are already in use, the license is still active on another computer.
Offline Activation
No internet on the workstation?
If your production computer cannot connect to the internet, you can activate manually using a request file and an activation file.
- Press Activate inside the plugin.
- If the license server cannot be reached, choose Manual Activation.
- Create and save the request license file.
- Move the request file to a computer with internet access.
- Go to the licensing website and log in with your account.
- Upload the request file and download the generated activation file.
- Return to the offline workstation and load the activation file in the plugin.
The same process can also be used for manual deactivation.
FAQ
Common licensing problems.
I did not receive the confirmation email.
Check your spam folder, make sure you are checking the correct email account, and wait a few minutes. If the email still does not arrive, contact support.
I cannot log in to the download area.
Copy and paste your login data carefully, check whether Caps Lock is enabled, or request a new password.
The download does not work.
Check whether your firewall or browser blocks executable or ZIP downloads. Try another browser if necessary. If no download is visible, contact support.
The installer does not start.
The download may be incomplete or corrupted. Download the installer again and check whether antivirus software is blocking the executable.
Activation cannot contact the server.
Your firewall may be blocking 3ds Max or the license service. Allow the application to connect to the internet, or use manual offline activation.
All seats are already in use.
The license is already activated on another computer. Deactivate it there first, then activate it on the new computer.
I get a duplicate Plugin-ID error.
The full version of BonesPro and BonesProProxy are both installed at the same time. A workstation should always only use one or the other. Close 3ds Max and remove the BonesProProxy file.
